A little update on our Lian: he caught a cold last week on Thursday, a runny nose, sneezing, but no fever. He was pretty tired for the first few days he had it. He is just getting over it now, still some runny nose but not as bad as last week. His THIRD tooth is coming in! His drooling picked up and he had been a bit cranky, especially at night and in pain because of it trying to break through. It is now about halfway up. And his FOURTH tooth is just coming in, it is right at the gumline. They are both right along side his 2 bunny teeth on the bottom. Things he can do now: point to his head and mouth (he knows the "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" song), knows what clap your hands means (knows the "When you're happy and you know it clap your hands" song), walks well on his own now....may stumble a bit here and there but doesn't need our help anymore, got his first new kicks! :) Knows "Let's go!" and will move his arms, can give kisses and hugs, knows what his books are now and will go to his book to give you one when you say, Do you want to read your books?!, puts his telephone toy up to his ear to pretend he's talking, still hasn't said his first words yet but he's still babbling alot. Had his first dip in a kiddie pool 2 weekends ago....wasn't too fond of it at the beginning, but got used to it since he wanted to play with his rubber ducky toys. He's trying to conquer steps now, he will go up and down a step repeatedly to try to get it right.
More on his personality: stubborn, knows what he wants! Very happy, laidback, he might get upset but you can distract him with something else, so doesn't cry easily, he has to be really mad or upset to cry (which is not often), loves to laugh, likes to challenge himself, he has already figured out how to put blocks in and out of things and can stack the rings on the cones, if he gets frustrated he'll look back at you and want you to show him, but he'll continue to try. He doesn't give up that easy :) Still not too fond of strangers or other little kids. At the parks near us there are always children around, some his age but he just stares and then points and grunts to go someone else....doesn't really have the interest to make friends right now, lol.
